John Deere Facility Reaches Safety Milestone
July 30 — John Deere Power Products in Greeneville, Tennessee, surpassed 12 million employee work hours without a lost-time accident in 2010.

 

DeSpain Elected President of Farm Safety Institute
July 20 — Mike DeSpain has been elected president of the National Institute for Farm Safety. He is only the second John Deere employee to serve in this role for NIFS in its nearly 50-year history.

 

Deere Employees Recognized for Leadership
July 14 — Several John Deere employees were recognized by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) at its 2010 Annual International Meeting June 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
